Paul A. Nettleford practices primarily in the areas of corporate law, technology law and healthcare. He advises clients on a variety of matters including private placements, venture capital funding, joint ventures, licensing agreements, debt offerings, HIPPA compliance, HITECH act compliance, mergers and acquisitions, the acquisition of intellectual property and the formation of legal entities. In addition to these areas, Mr. Nettleford also advises clients on real estate matters including the acquisition and disposition of special purpose commercial property, commercial leasing, and commercial and residential real estate development.
Mr. Nettleford has served as General Counsel and Director of Business Development for a healthcare IT company where he was responsible for identifying strategic growth areas in the healthcare market. In that role, Mr. Nettleford was required to theorize on what the United States health delivery system will look like in the future and position that company to capture market share as these changes occur.
Prior to that position, Mr. Nettleford served as Chief Executive Officer for a mid-sized real estate company that had an annual transaction volume as high as $100,000,000. In that role, Mr. Nettleford provided strategic direction to the real estate enterprise. He spearheaded several acquisitions that created an integrated real estate company that provided property management, brokerage and settlement services.
Mr. Nettleford desires to insure the quality of future generations of attorneys. Accordingly, Mr. Nettleford serves as an Adjunct Professor in the areas of Contract Law and Business Law at Georgetown University and Washington Adventist University respectively.
Mr. Nettleford holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Washington Adventist University and a Juris Doctor degree from Georgetown University Law Center
